Downhill Jam - Trim Sheet Environment Art

Downhill Jam environment:

My main responsibility in this project involved creating a trim sheet for various buildings.

The main issue from this project was learning trim sheet techniques, as this was my first time using them. This problem was solved through looking up tutorials and practising. Another problem I encountered involved the theme, as this trim sheet was meant to be a generic shop building and could not be too specific. The way I went around this issue was to create trims with generic materials such as stone and concrete. This meant I could use this trim sheet for generic shops as well as city buildings, allowing this trim sheet to be used for more assets than I originally planned.

This trim sheet was spilt into seven rows, textured inside Substance Painter. The overall theme was a generic shop building with a set of doors, windows. concrete, stone and two checker patterns. (2048 x 2048 texture)

Trim sheet without wireframe. Once the trim sheet was complete, the base colour and normal map was exported into 3ds max and added to a building. The texture map is 2048 x 2048 to avoid texel density and loss of quality.
